Personal care
– Body care and clothing;
– Mobilization assistance: getting up, lying down, moving around;
– Toilet care: sponge baths, shaving and hairstyling.
Palliative care
– Comfort enhancement;
– Companionship;
– Monitoring of health status.
Light housekeeping
– Cleaning the home: vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning surfaces;
– Disinfection of kitchen, bathroom and equipment;
– Laundry and storage.
Meal preparation
– Preparation of meals for the client, including special needs;
– Planning menus and grocery lists;
– Proper handling and storage of food.
Accompaniment & supervision
– Accompaniment to medical appointments or grocery shopping;
– Supervision of the client during recovery.
Relay or relief services
– Provide respite for caregivers;
– Replacement of the regular attendant during sick leave or vacation.
Home support education
– Tips and tricks for living alone at home;
– Hygiene and sanitation training.
Autonomy in activities of daily living
– Assistance in taking medication;
– Help in reminding medical follow-ups and appointments;
– Meal preparation and help in putting away the groceries.
